To be close to those in need of humanitarian medical assistance now and to support tomorrow.
The ‘Bridging Hope’ concert series, which supports the humanitarian medical aid activities of Médecins du Monde Japan, started in 2022 with the cooperation of pianist Gen Tomuro and will now be held for the third time.
In addition to his performance activities in Japan and abroad, Mr. Tomuro has always been interested in humanitarian medical aid activities. His piano tone, which he plays with hope for the days when everyone can have access to medical care and can live a healthy life in mind and body, has always deeply moved his listeners in the past.
In 2024, the concert will be held at the International House of Japan (Minato-ku, Tokyo). The International House of Japan was established to promote international mutual understanding through cultural exchange and intellectual cooperation between people.
Conflicts and natural disasters are occurring frequently in the world. Shelters and even hospitals are under attack in Ukraine and the Palestinian Gaza Strip. People in Turkey and Syria are still recovering from natural disasters. People in Afghanistan, where the healthcare system is in a state of disrepair. People in Rohingya refugee camps with no prospect of returning home. In the midst of a never-ending humanitarian crisis, Médecins du Monde continues to provide access to healthcare.
Your participation will help protect the lives and health of people waiting for medical care around the world.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Message from Gen Tomuro
This will be the third time that I have performed at a charity concert organized by Médecins du Monde Japan, and I am very grateful for this opportunity. I sincerely hope that many people will come together and send encouragement and support from Japan through music so that we can benefit the areas and people in need. |
